About ✦
We are all water.
Eva Boeree and Kreative Kwame created “WAL“ to connect the art world to causes we should all care about. We’ve organized and partaken in two exhibitions, one in Cameroon and the other in the Netherlands.
The first of these was an in Cameroon, featuring works by Kreative Kwame, Alida Ymele, Romaric Bidias, William Bakaimo and Eva Youmbi, with Eva Boeree as curator, Zogo Yves and Ngwane Denzel for marketing and communications respectively
Imagine a community with about 3,000 inhabitants, with a record of rainfall and overall wetness, a village that lies at the skirts of Mount Cameroon, where there are plenty of water sources but none with clean water.
Stop imagining.
This is Debundscha.
There is no clean water available in this village. The situation is especially worrisome at Debundscha Primary School. This is a school attended by more than 700 children of the region, who suffer from a number of issues due to the abscence of potable water. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, it is particularly important that school children have access to good sanitation and hygiene.
The exhibition which ran from March 26, 2022 → April 9, 2022, brought art admirers and collectors together, exposing them to the noble cause.
