Ngotto Cover

No internet service, no calls, no contact for five days in a small village called Ngotto, in the East Region of Cameroon.

When this opportunity presented itself, I took it on as a work/stay getaway, taking a break from the busy towns.

The goal was to photograph a hands-on seminar where 21 women were trained in new farming technologies. They were also trained in jam and pastry making.

What sold me most, is that these women are internally displaced, trying to earn a living in a new region.

Their zeal to learn, seeing them sing songs to show their gratitude, how hands-on they were, was an incredible experience for myself and all trainers.

Projects like these are so important. Special thanks to the Israeli Embassy in Cameroon, the PADK TARTS Foundation, Sunstream and everyone who made this happen.
