Overview
The Anglophone Crisis hit its fifth year.
That sentence alone is extremely saddening, considering the number of lives lost, families forced to move, the course of so many lives changed as a result of the war.
Like a slithering snake, the horrors continued to draw near, till the incident which is today referred to as the “Kumba Massacre”.
The BBC writes “Gunmen have stormed a private school in a restive area of Cameroon killing at least six children and wounding a dozen others, officials say. A local education official said the victims were aged between 12 and 14.”
This series was in response to those killings.
The children have their hands covering their face in shame - shame for what the crisis has become, and also in fear - fear that they might be next.
Fear that their right to education will become their reason for death.
